Key Selection Factors

Wire diameter / range

The machine should cover your wire's diameter with margin, not match it at the exact edge of its range.

2D vs 3D forming

Some parts only need bending in one plane (2D). Others need a shaped head feature or bending across multiple planes (3D forming), which affects the axis count required.

Axes and forming complexity

More controlled axes generally support more complex geometries and feature combinations in a single forming cycle.

Single-head vs double-head configuration

A single multi-axis forming head suits a wide range of standard wire-formed parts. A double-head configuration — two coordinated forming heads — is typically used for longer parts or higher-complexity geometries.

Part geometry

Bend count, bend radius, symmetry and end features (loops, hooks, shaped heads) all affect which configuration is practical.

Coil feeding

Wire is typically fed from coil. Coil size, wire straightness and feeding length affect how continuous a production run can be.
